The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) carries provisions that require businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens and for processing of personal data within EU member states. The GDPR also regulates the exportation of personal data outside the EU. Userneeds has always had a great focus on protecting personal data and has always followed the laws and guidelines within this area. Userneeds’ Data Protection Officer supervises our procedures and processes continuously, and an external review is carried out every year to make sure Userneeds operations stay compliant.
As a market research company Userneeds has many partners with whom we share research data. In such cases we always make sure there is a legal basis for the sharing, and a contract that guarantees that the partner is also fully compliant in terms of GDPR.
Results of pre-audit 2020
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintain the highest level of compliance to regulations regarding GDPR, Userneeds has carried out a pre-audit overseen by international law firm DLA Piper in the fall of 2020.
The overall conclusion is “Based on our findings, we consider that Userneeds A/S has a general high level of maturity in its compliance approach to the requirements in the GDPR. We have not identified any significant systemic failure to meet these requirements.”
This is a conclusion, that we at Userneeds are very proved of.
The conclusion of the pre-audit not only relates to our general operations, but also specifically our ongoing risk assessments, training and GDPR awareness of Userneeds’ employees as well as the rights of Data Subjects involved in Userneeds’ operations among other areas.
As a client of Userneeds, you can therefore rest assured that your projects and purchases are and stay GDPR compliant, as we have ongoing reviews of existing processes as well as training of staff.
