Social selling, job opportunities, brand awareness, networking you name it. According to many articles LinkedIn has it all – and yet very few of Userneeds’ panel members in the Nordics and Ireland are active on the platform.
LinkedIn has grown tremendously the last few years and millions of people from all over the world have signed up and are now connecting, posting and commenting. When it comes to Userneeds’ panel members, however, it is far from everyone that has a profile on LinkedIn, which became clear when we asked them the following:
On a scale from 1-5, 1 being “I have a Linkedin profile but I never use it” and 5 being “I am very active on Linkedin”, where would you place yourself?
32 percent in Ireland, 35 percent in Sweden and 39 percent in Norway and Denmark answer “I don’t have a profile” to the question. In Finland 46 percent have chosen that answer option. The second most popular category is “1” chosen by between 24 (Finland) and 32 percent (Ireland), which means that approximately one in four has a profile but never uses it.
The answer options 2 and 3 have each been chosen by around 13 percent in all the countries. 5 percent in each country answer “4” meaning that they are active on LinkedIn and finally between 2 percent (Norway) and 4 percent (Denmark and Ireland) state that they are very active on LinkedIn.
