The majority of the Danes believe that the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, and the S-government have handled the corona-crisis either well or very well. This is stated in a poll conducted by Userneeds in collaboration with the analysis and consulting firm Moos-Bjerre.
Mette Frederiksen, the Danish Prime Minister, and the Danish Parliament are currently fighting against COVID-19. Together they work hard getting Denmark through this crisis in the best possible way and several measures have been taken. Further, different packages are offered to companies in order to secure and help companies in this tough crisis.
In collaboration with the analysis and consulting firm Moos-Bjerre, Userneeds have conducted a poll with 1,000 respondents in the period March 23 to 25. The poll shows that 72 percent of the Danes believe that the measures taken in relation to COVID-19 are appropriate. Further, 20 percent of the Danes believe that more should be done.
In Denmark, tough political decisions have been taken, which have resulted in forced, temporary closures of large industries, which together are impacting 300,000 jobs. The current situation and the measures taken have a negative impact on the Danish economy and unemployment statistics. However, most Danes do not prefer a laissez faire policy, like in Sweden, where schools, cafes and restaurants are still open.
According to the poll, the majority of the Danes are satisfied with the way the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, and the S-government have handled COVID-19. 88 percent of the respondents in the poll answered, that Mette Frederiksen has handled the corona-crisis either well or very well. In addition, 87 percent of the respondents answered, that the S-government has handled the corona-crisis either well or very well. The Danes therefore express a great support for the Prime Minister and the government according to the poll. At the same time, the poll does not show a big difference between the different types of voters (red and blue voters). 81 percent of blue voters answer they believe the government has handled the situation either well or very well.
